Top 50 Singles 2010

Well here it is guys.. My first part of my end of the year lists.. Took me some time to get it just the way I wanted but I think I got it. Gonna start off with Top 50 singles of 2010.

This year was a great year for not only indie music to make waves into the airways but also there was a lot of brand new pop princesses making there mark in the pop battle. For me this year was very different in that you didn't see a common trend like in past years.. It seemed to me most artist decided to try new things for once! Lets get to it!

50. Neon Trees - Animal

This song is as catchy as the day it hit the radio stations.. Catchy and stuck in your head all day bad catchy…

49. Jimmy Eat World - My Best Theory

J.E.W latest single makes you never forget that they are still capable of making a great song. This is no a let down

48. M.E.N. - Off Our Backs

Not only is the video amazing.. Who doesn't love Bears on trampolines, but this is a great pop electronic single

47. Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World)

Its about time she got out of that boring slump.. This is one pop song if i may say so

46. Ratatat - Drugs

These guys are always having a great time in their music and this sure shows it

45.Shakira - Waka Waka (This Time For Africa )

Nothing says World Cup like that sexy lady shaking her hips to a great crowd pleaser!

44. Liars - Scarecrows On A Killer Street

Just like sounds hitting a wall.. If you can last it, its awesome!

43. Major Lazer & La Roux (ft. Candi Redd) - Independent Kill

La Roux is starting to get bigger and it sure shows! How can you go wrong with a collaboration with Major Lazer!

42. Pink - Glitter In The Air

Even though this album came out last year. Her performance of this song at the Grammys launched it back into so many ears.. Such a great song

41. Katy Perry - Teenage Dream

This summer would of been pretty boring with out this dam pop hit

40. HEALTH - USA Boys

With the release of their second remix album.. New song USA Boys was a great introduction

39. Deerhunter - Revival

I remember when this song hit the net this past summer.. and glad it did b/c it stayed in my rotation for a long long time

38. Kylie Minogue - Get Outta My Way

How can I not forget this pop princess… I wanna be her deep down inside

37. Kanye West - Runway

Even though I don't like his album this is the only song that stuck out for me.. Always remember the MTV performance

36. Crystal Castles - Not In Love Ft. Robert Smith

Never thought this song could get any better.. Robert Smith of course would make this haunting song even more haunting!

35. Martin Solveig Ft. Dragonnette - Hello

This video may be hilarious.. The song on the other hand.. Amazing

34. Suckers - It Gets Your Body Movin

Not only does it make you move it makes you want to put this on repeat

33. Grinderman - Heathen Child

Gotta love the bass in this song.. Leave it at that

32. No Age - Fever Dreaming

Kings of lo-fi rock deliver a solid song here.. Makes me wanna be in a club jumping up and down all over!

31. Trentemoeller - Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider Go

Just like the title of the song.. Makes me want to be running wild through the streets..

30. Eminmen Ft. Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie

Even though you could not get away from this song.. Gotta admit it was a great song

29. Goldfrapp - Rocket

Who thought after her album Seventh Tree she would be able to come up with pop 80's synth! Love it

28. Pantha Du Prince - Stick To My Side

With the vocals from Noah Lennrox (from Animal Collective) this makes this song one of his best in his entire collection.

27. Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand

Besides the annoying title.. This song had to be one of the biggest blog tracks this year.. Still makes me dance every time i hear it!!!

26. Owen Pallett - Lewis Takes Over

Just think this is a one band man.. Have to wonder how he does it

25. Scissor Sisters - Invisible Light

Oh Jake Sheers.. You can never let me down with your lovely music

24. Joanna Newsome - Jackrabbits

Her Haunting voice never fails to give me chills and this song is by far my fav off her this amazing album

23. Jonsi - Animal Arithmetic

Who thought the lead singer of Sigur Ros could make such great pop influenced ambient songs.. Makes me wanna dance in a field of flowers

22. Marina & The Diamonds - Shampain

This girl is awesome.. Makes me want to change from beer to bubbly! Prob not but is a thought

21. The Tallest Man On Earth - King Of Spain

Listening to him makes me want to be a king of anything.. That sound and voice perfect for each other

20. MGMT - Flash Delirium

Even thought this album failed as a whole.. One good thing came out of it.. This song thats it

19. Caribou - Odessa

So makes me wanna dance all night even if I am sitting in a coffee shop and drinking tea!

18. Sufjan Stevens - All The Delighted People

Even though this clocks in close to 12:00 min, its still a great great epic song!

17. Kesha - We R Who We R

Maybe its just b/c its one of her better songs but gotta give respect to great pop songs

16. The Drums - Best Friends

Not only is music my best friend but this song makes you want to be its best friend

15. Vampire Weekends - Holiday

It was hard for me to pick a song from this album but i felt this was the one. Catchy songs are always a must

14. The Arcade Fire - Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)

Even though this was not a official single.. This by far is their best song off a great album

13. Florrie - Give Me Your Love

Up and coming pop girl Florrie dropped this song not only free but its such an awesome song for her introduction into the pop battle!


12. The National - Bloodbuzz Ohio

This band was by far one of my favorite to see live this year.. Their single just like the band live does not let down

11. Gold Panda - You

Now a song that makes you want to just stay inside and wishing it was raining all day.. Amazing

10. Surfer Blood - Floating Vibes

This band exploded on the scene in a great way. Not only do they remind you of those old 90's garage bands they still manage to update the sound and create a amazing rock song!

09. Beach House - Norway

Such a beautiful haunting song with great opening vocals..Beach House have been able to create such amazing songs that not only haunt your ears for a few mins but is such awesome music!

08. LCD Soundsystem - You Wanted a Hit

Another song that almost clocks in at 10:00 min.. Getting through the song makes it worth it.. Classic James Murphy style the dude sure does know how to build up the peaks and highs in his songs. This song is no exception

07. Broken Bells - The Ghost Inside

This song ruled the alternative radio stations all over and for good reason. Not only did this duo create a great alt rock but it made the masses realize names such as Danger Mouse and James Mercer.

06. Hot Chip - I Feel Better

Once again Hot Chip delivers a solid song that not only made a hilarious / creepy video but made you want more. The build ups on this song and strings is a great addition to make this song awesome.

05. Gorillaz - On Melancholy Hill

Not since their hit single "Clint Eastwood" has the gorillaz release a great moody pop song. Not only does this song make you feel just like the title but it also makes you feel like dancing in a emo moody way

04. Yesayer - ONE

Never have I dance so much in life to one song. This band had a amazing year and they had some great singles to cause it. It was a bit hard to pick one but this song no doubt was the best and memorable

03. Robyn - Hang With Me

This is my girl!! Robyn had a great year and difficult one.. She released 3 EPs all fronted with amazing pop songs.. Again was hard to pick just one but this song from Body Talk Pt 2 made dance pop brand new and amazing!

02. Hurts - Sunday

One of my favorite brand new artist that came out this year was "Hurts." This was not their lead single but that was not any issue since all their songs from this album are amazing. Guess I missed that 80's synth pop new wave scene. Makes up here for me

01. Sleigh Bells - Tell 'Em

With that opening loud guitar riff how can you go wrong.. Heavy distorted guitar riffs and that singing how can you go wrong? This song rocked my world and seeing them perform this live made it more evident how awesome this song is..
